Na Motown-soul, Midwest emo en Iggy Pop heeft het Amerikaanse Midwest opnieuw een muzikale uitvinding voor ons: Good Flying Birds! De band uit Indianapolis maakt aanstekelijke janglepop in de geest van The Vaselines en Teenage Fanclub en komt op 16 juni naar V11. De band komt naar Rotterdam gewapend met hun nieuwe plaat Talulah’s Tape, een album gevuld met gevoelige teksten van een band die zichzelf duidelijk niet te serieus neemt!

Extra info: Voordat Good Flying Birds een echte band werd, plaatste oprichter Kellen Baker muziek en stop-motionvideo’s op YouTube onder de naam Talulah God. Het idee was aanvankelijk om een soort mysterieuze online persona te creëren zonder een echte band erachter.
Dit concert wordt georganiseerd door Rotown en V11 en heeft uitsluitend staanplaatsen.

Following Motown soul, Midwest emo and Iggy Pop, the American Midwest has another musical discovery in store for us: Good Flying Birds! The Indianapolis-based band plays infectious jangle pop in the spirit of The Vaselines and Teenage Fanclub and is coming to V11 on 16 June. The band is coming to Rotterdam armed with their new record Talulah’s Tape, an album filled with sensitive lyrics from a band that clearly doesn’t take itself too seriously!

Extra info: Before Good Flying Birds became a proper band, founder Kellen Baker posted music and stop-motion videos on YouTube under the name Talulah God. The initial idea was to create a sort of mysterious online persona without an actual band behind it.
